President McKinley USA vs EU

Post by T-CON »

Hi,

Can the President McKinley US version be converted/modified to work on the UK40 and basically work like the President McKinley EU, less the multiple backlight colours and whatever else is not included on the US versions?

Thanks

The US version of the McKinley is a different beast to the EU version.

Firstly there's no FM mode on the radio therefore it's not possible to access the UK 40 channels.

It's also locked to 40 channels (mid block). Unlike the EU model there's no way of expanding it's coverage. It's a very simple mod on the Mckinley EU with just a wire to snip and a jumper to move. These aren't present on the US model.
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!

Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...
