RFI Quiet Laptop
Hi all my old ACER laptop has finally packed up, so I need to replace it I'm looking for something RFI quiet so as not to add anymore QRM/QRN as I have enough from all my neighbours with out adding to it. So any tips on laptop models that are quiet for the shack. Doesn't have to be a new laptop happy with refurbished to keep the costs down, what are you guys using any info would be most appreciated thanks 73's

In my experience most laptops are pretty quiet when on battery although I did have an old Dell and the display noise was dreadful. The power supplies are the issue in most cases and the noise usually radiates from the DC cable side, usual mitigating measures should minimise that.
FWIW I use an old Acer N19H5 i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz, only 14" but touchscreen and fast enough to run my RX888 MK2 at 35MHz along with a few sessions of FT8 decoding and no discernible noise on HF even on mains supply.

HP Zbook G8 was pretty good, the current Dell Precision also seems pretty good but neither were cheap machines, even refurb (the Dell is still nearly £2K second hand).
I'd recommend most of the HP Elitebooks, should be able to pick up an 830 or 840 G7/G8 for around £200-300, the worst RFI I've had from a laptop was one that was using an off brand charger.
