Re: Luiton LT-310SDR
I had little time so just preliminary:
Pros:
1. Small
2. Wideband,
3. Cheap (Paid 44GBP shipped)
Cons:
1. Raspy SSB,
2. Microphone plastic cord sucks.
3. So-so tx audio. Tinny, quiet, flat (but readable). Mic change didn't make a difference. Not audio monster for sure.
4. Tx lag: delay between microphone input and audio going out is around 300ms.
5. Noisy RX even on dummy load. Hiss is terrible. Hard to use without (A)SQ engaged even on lowest AF volume setting. Unacceptable for me.
For 10m radio it should have split and ctcss.
More to come when I find some time.
Chris
p.s. anyone got written description what jumpers inside are for? I'm tired watching YT mumbling. TIA.

The man from del monte he say it's Sh*te
Thanks for that Chris. Doesn't sound very promising. Maybe some or all of the issues will be addressed in later board revisions. For the time being i think it might be best to give it a miss..

Re: Luiton LT-310SDR
I asked for schematic, maybe there is some place for improvement.
I didn't have a time to measure, but I wonder what is bias set on final transistor.

Final Bias and fiddling with the audio amp might be the only things that are easily alterable (if you're good with SMD)ch25 wrote: 15 Jul 2026, 17:35 I asked for schematic, maybe there is some place for improvement.

I think everything else will be changes to the actual firmware (not the configuration), it's why I posted about getting a copy and seeing if it's encrypted or crackable.
I've got a query open with a seller for 5 'samples', if I can get them under £50 each I'll buy them and rip one apart to extract the code.

Re: Luiton LT-310SDR
No UK distributers for the LT-310SDR (as yet) so the Moonraker Atlas will be the safer bet when it comes to warranty - when it becomes available of course.
