I don't take mine apart I thread it through from the front of the car and put the magmount in to the passenger footwell, only takes a few moments to set up

I'm not sure if I could reach your neck of the woods on 4 watts, even from the height of the Wolds but if I manage to get up there I'll certainly give it a shot.

I can get Whitby, and Carlton Bank no problem but if I can get up my local hill we could be in business.
Year's ago I copied a lady breaker on the a64 from home so it could be possible. Although she was a bit shaky about her location I asked her to qsl and she did send me details years ago.

Years ago I copyed some guys in cork.
They couldn't believe me that I was sitting on the beach at St Jean du Monts in West France on my 80 ch midland portapak I too was over the moon with my contact as was my mam and dad who were quite fascinated that I could transmit that far
