Re: Scan125 Control Program - New Release
Dave, can you explain what you mean? Are you refering to the Scan125 program?
Scan125 is in effect a full virtual control program for the scanner. It does require the scanner to be attached. When the program starts it does a full read of all the scanner settings and channel/frequency data. If you change nothing then nothing is sent back to the scanner. If you change anything then that is immediately sent to the scanner, and with frequency changes then once sent to the scanner the change is read back as the scanner may have changed the frequency you entered in Scan125 to be on a correct step value that the scanner uses. This ensure both parties are 100% aligned with each other.
Besides the full virtual control you can save the full scanner settings and frequencies, or just frequencies to files that you can later reload.

Re: Scan125 Control Program - New Release
Hey Nick. Just a quick post to thank you (in advance) for this Software. I've not used it yet, as I need to resurrect a Win7 machine on which to run it (I'm a Linux user, by choice). Not too sure if this is the correct place to post this link, but it seems to me to be as good a place as any:

It's a nice intro to Scan125, which I trust others will find useful.

Re: Scan125 Control Program - New Release
Following on... as much as I like and admire what Nick has produced, I wanted a replacement for the HTML file that he included with the Scan125 package, as it was not really to my liking.
I was going to wait for the winter months before I got to this, but I had a weekend free, so I thought I'd have at it and see what I could do.
Anyone not using the Scan125 package, will have no clue what I'm driving at, but for users of the software, if you like what I've done (and it's still in development, tbh) and would like some details about how I produced the Monitor, then lmk.

Re: Scan125 Control Program - New Release
Update to my Scanner Monitor:
As an alternative to having to have a web browser running for this, I've also written a terminal based version
The same thing applies: if you are interested in the detail, lmk.
