BAOFENG FOR AIRBAND RX ????

Hello all,

At present I have a UV5R which sits in it's cradle on my car dash with a homebrew handsfree and 2/70cm antenna this works well but the battery is starting to fade ( and makes a load of electrical noise when plugged into the charger) rather than buy a new battery I thought about just going for a new UV5r type radio with airband Rx ( not sure of the model number) which would fit my present set up without any further mods I was wandering what they are like on airband Rx . I pass an airfield on my way home ( Half penny Green) and it's planes fly over my local area as do others from local airfields. I'm not expecting the world from something so cheap but would hope it would be at least reasonable !
