The first led on amstrad signal meters
As a lot of you might already know i'm a sucker for an amstrad radio. Always loved them. But has anybody seen one where the first led (S3) wasn't continuously lit on receive ? I sure haven't
The man who cut the cable off his hoover and used it to make a choke balun. A good performing antenna beats a clean carpet

(sweet, sugar - get it?)
As for the LED thing can't remember if that was the case or not.
Edit.
Just thought, l think a 901 l once had the first led would go out depending on where the RF gain or squelch was set.
