RADTEL RT4D HELP PLEASE

Post by KILLERPARSNIP »

Hello all,

My Radtel RT4D arrived and I have discovered it needs rebooting with my size 10 steel toe cap boots :D :D . . The manual is a little challenging and makes me want to do this {bnghd} {bnghd} . So the first problem is it will not display the frequency of my semi local repeater 145.7125 instead I get 145.71200 ? I have gone through the menu and it is set on 12.5khz spacing any ideas ? How do I save a memory once I have everything programmed in ?
My local DMR cluster says this in order to operate through all repeaters at the same time Slot 1 / Talkgroup 75 linked between all repeaters in the cluster
what is the colourcode ? ( GB7WD). When using a DMR repeater will I hear anything when I attempt to open it ( if successful) repeater id or Morse K tone or simalar ? I'm sure there will be more but as yet I cannot get any further than this.

Thanks all

Not having one of these radios makes it a little trickier, but I have downloaded the latest version of the Radtel CPS from the Radtel website and that proves interesting. Firstly, as it comes as a stand alone .exe file that doesn't need installing! :thumbup:

For your frequency entry, here is the setting that is likely truncating your entries;

On CPS its defaulting to 6 digits, so guessing on the radio (if you are not using CPS) it will also default to 6.

For TX and RX frequencies - I have been all through the settings in the CPS, and there is not one for auto repeater offset, i.e. -600 kHz. So frequencies are set independently.

Here, I have created 2 channels on the channel tab with the frequencies for TX and RX both as I think you are looking for.

For saving - Not sure how you would do that directly on the radio, if indeed its even required. On CPS, you would simply save the file to your PC, then write the file to radio and that would then be it programmed.

Hope that helps.
