Birdies heard on my HF radio running from a separate power supply with a short patch lead laid next to the cheap supply. But that was to be expected..
The man who cut the cable off his hoover and used it to make a choke balun. A good performing antenna beats a clean carpet :D

BTW The voltage range is 9.7 - 14.7 Which also effects the fan speed

I'd like to strip the PSU down to take a look at the quality workmanship :D But it doesn't look like it will come apart without wrecking it. It's happily ran for eight hours a day over the last two days with no issues, The radio is drawing 400ma on RX and a few amps on TX (17w) So unless something drastic happens i think i can wrap this thread up. It works.. But loading it up to its max capacity of 30 amps or hooking it to any of my expensive radios, Nope!!
