I'm tempted now I've got a 3/8 mag mount.

It isn't that expensive really for what it is...

Have you tried it yet, and is it better than that Mini Meteor that you tried?

Ok, I've grabbed the last Calypso in stock. I'll know soon enough how it performs.

It hasn't arrived yet, but I am looking forward to trying it when it arrives

The Mini Meteor that I have isn't going to be difficult to beat considering I couldn't even get an acceptable SWR with it.

It will be interesting however to see how it compared to my 130cm half breed type antenna though.

No Calypso for me - their stock indicator was wrong so they were, in fact, sold out. I've been refunded.

That's a shame.

It is always interesting to try different antennas from time to time.

My own silly fault - dithered too long. Thunderpole have a centre loaded thing called Apollo 2 but I'm not £20 curious 😆

Well it arrived today, and it is very much new old stock.

It is new but looks old, the chrome work on it is deteriorated.

I am sure that it will work ok though for it's size. I will chuck it on the car and see what the SWR is like when I get the chance.

For those who lost out, here's something reasonably priced. Has UK and EU SWR settings too!
