I love 20M and at the mnoment im using a homemade 20M dipole running horizontal down my garden only about 10 feet off the ground, Great SWR and I have worked many countries on it, Cant complain for a length of speaker cable really. Anyway I have been looking at these...
Im wondering what it would be like mounted vertically about 20 feet off the ground? I know it's a case of try it and see but I was wondering if anyone has any input before I buy one. Cant really put it up horizontal on the 20 foot pole because theres a damn big tree in the way so I wouldent be able to rotate it.
Looking at it from a structural point don't think it would stand up to the wind much, be better installed in a way for easy access to mount / demount. As for vertical Vs horizontal, easy to compare peformance of once installed, again if installed in such a way for easy access, you can spin it from V to H positions.

I was wondering how strong it would be but then again I can lower the pole in seconds and normally do if the wind kicks off. Theres an X200 on top of it at the moment. Guess I will have to get one and try it and if it's no good the wife can use it in the green house to grow beans on
£90 Bucks for a couple of 20m mobile antennas slapped together ? That'll be shining bright. Buy the antennas separately then buy a centre piece to join them together and save a few quid..Also take into account the restrictive bandwidth of loaded antennas
The man who cut the cable off his hoover and used it to make a choke balun. A good performing antenna beats a clean carpet

I do actually have one of those dipole centres here so I just need the antennas . It wont happen for a bit because I just spent about 9 billion pounds restoring my car
