I think the amstrad was such a success story because it was a main stream name that many people who walked in to local shops and recognised and same as the likes of Harvard and binatone but the amstrad was looking very technical with it's LEDs and relatively compact design.
I have a few of them and the fakes as well like transcom and Mustang just need the Harvard version now

I have used a couple, good solid set that works well enough and has good ears.

Better TX audio (IMO) compared to a Cybernet 134 based radio, but slightly more bleedover prone.

it's been done neatly is all i can say :lol:
The man who cut the cable off his hoover and used it to make a choke balun. A good performing antenna beats a clean carpet :D
