TTI TCB881 Question
Does anyone know which year these were discontinued? I gather they were being made in 2014 but can't find any reference to the year they stopped making them. Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: TTI TCB881 Question
Many thanks for the link. Sadly the certficates and manuals are either passworded PDFs or unzippable zip files. I did find some old reviews on the Thunderpole which suggest the replacement of the tcb881 by the tcb881N around 2015.
I'm just wondering if a secondhand 11 year old radio is worth spending £60 on.

The one I attached?
No need for you to go to the Korean site.
Indeed Manual and service manual are both freely available at CBRADIO.NL TTI
But here's the service manual anyway..
If you are having issues opening .pdf then that's a local to you issue most likely.

Re: TTI TCB881 Question
In fact the manual on CBRADIO.NL is more exact than the one from the TTI website. TTI website lists the 881n
CBradio.NL has the 881.
To large to attach so here the link = https://www.cbradio.nl/tti/downloads/Ma ... _Multi.pdf

It wasn't a question of opening it - it said "failed to download - check the internet connection". I think it might be a permissions thing.

Re: TTI TCB881 Question
Do you get the same thing when you download from the CBRADIO.NL site? You might get a prompt regarding the file itegrity from the Korean site BUT you don't have to use that site anymore. It wasn't a question of opening it - it said "failed to download - check the internet connection". I think it might be a permissions thing.
Sounds like you have issues with your current permissions that could be many things from your AV product or MS windows security if you use microsoft.
I've confirmed on both Linux (Firefox) and Windows (chrome & firefox) and files are good.
Could be something weird but when you get to the bottom of it at least you have the manual and the service manual.
good luck.

Re: TTI TCB881 Question
That worked! The declaration of conformity is dated 2008 and I can tell from the specs that it's pre-UK legalisation of CEPT. I'm guessing a discontinuation in 2014/5 as that's when the 881N seems to have appeared.Stronty wrote: 26 Mar 2026, 21:50 In fact the manual on CBRADIO.NL is more exact than the one from the TTI website. Re: TTI TCB881 Question
The radio does quite well in YouTube on air tests. I'm very tempted to get it at £60 but the age makes me pause.
