Visited a friend there on Saturday, radio seems to have died there. Plenty on databases but nothing when there apart from hospital porters or security, Premier taxis on 169.something or other and Ayr United stewards on 446.09375. No apparent shopwatch which was on 456.350, Ayr Central also nothing there.
Is there anyone in the area able to confirm anything still there?

Re: Ayr
It is really quiet around here now... hopefully not much longer before local government can't keep up with the encryption costs, then we'll have them
Re: Ayr
I've sent stuff I have to two people in Ayrshire to help and ask if they are still in use, they haven't got back to me. I have friends in Ayrshire, where I stay is the middle of a housing estate in Irvine, and all I get is the shopwatch and shopping centre security, in Irvine.

Re: Ayr
I have a few things, Ayr was virtually dead apart from the Ayr Central Shopping Centre which I've lost the details. Somerset Park stewards the last I heard them were on the 446 channel 7. Kilmarnock was quiet too. I got the Rugby Park (Kilmarnock) stewards and the ref link, possibly VAR, I assume they use the same frequency. I visited Prestwick Airport to try and confirm if a few were still being used. There were more airport staff than passengers and only 3 flights that day.
Re: Ayr, Irvine, Kilmarnock
I was back in the area at the weekend. Ayr is virtually dead, I did find 3 channels for Craig Tara, two the same frequency, one different, two companies at Ayr Harbour, one I could identify, one I couldn't (449.400) a taxi company using simplex on 169.xxxx.
All the frequencies in Ayr for who I found for the users aren't the same as on RRUK. Most of Prestwick Airport uhf's still seem to be alive even though a lot the airport passenger wise is dead. Irvine's shopwatch has either gone as in completely or another mode. I didn't see any radios in shops I know that were part of it. I was only in Kilmarnock for about 15 minutes and heard nothing. For a county with a lot of people in it, there aren't a lot of people listening.

Re: Ayr
I know of two other analogue shopwatches. One being Lancaster which has been using the same frequency and tone since 1993. Nantwich was still analogue two years ago, I haven't been there since. I was in Ayr for about 3 hours and there was no sign of it. I had both my radios on search mode the whole time. I'll be back there in June.
