A long time ago. I had loads on cassette, but they all got scrapped when i couldn't play the damn things. I never recorded digitally back then.

The TV production companies that made 'Morse', 'The Sweeney' etc have many hours of pre Airwave Tetra radio traffic..

What are you after? In all my recordings i only ever had one cassette i wish id saved, it was so dull, and of its time. Great if you want history, but it was very formulaic and formal. The one i had that i remember was a whole night of monitoring and arresting prostitutes and their customers in Norwich. Really interesting with a map.

Back in the 1980's I had hours of Met Police talking broach traffic and even captured the PC Keith Blakelock incident during the Tottenham riots...
Sadly my daughter recorded over the tapes a few years later..

I had hours of 'heli-telly' from I-99, the Manchester air support, all received off-air on my homebrew receiver. It was complete with the associated radio comms on 138 MHz too. It was on VHS of course. I recently fancied watching it again and I could have sworn I had transferred it to DVD, but it seems not. Gone for good. Gah!
