Seems quite a technical challenge realize you ideally need amplifiers and filters for the weak signals and antennas could prove a challenge in a small space.

In the past I have received signals that seriously funded institutes and Universities have put out there, but never considered doing it myself was an option without a few hundred grand going spare, if there is a 'budget' method you come across then please share.

The husband of a lady I'm working with is an astrophysicist - and he is studying black holes. X-ray telescopes in orbit. Nothing in the way and an easy way to keep the electronics cool (for certain periods in the orbit) Seriously hard - making the maths most of us have rather basic!

RA is something I've thought about and really should have a go at.

You can hear lightning in Jupiter's atmosphere if you know what to listen out for. I expect most shortwave scannists have picked up signals from outer space but just don't know it.
