As above guys.

There's someone selling bags of 100 on eBay for £7, but surely there must be a cheaper outlet for them. Also, I've never been 100% certain of the correct size.

Search for M3 panhead machine screws. I usually get 6mm ones

£1.45 plus vat & P&P for a pack of 100 at this link https://www.barenco.co.uk/fasteners/mac ... 0000b-prod

I normally get the stainless steel or chrome screws when I need them. the M3 is the right ones. 6MM or 10MM length will work. in some instances the 10MM are a little too long. either will work. here in the US 100 of them is about 7.00 us dollars shipped to your home.

Make sure you get Phillips head ones.

You can get pozi, but they don't look quite right.

The originals are some weird Japanese type, but Phillips are the closes you can get for reasonable dosh.

Knights also sell case screws, either in zinc plate or stainless. The zinc plated ones come in at £1.95 for 100

Do they happen to sell the ones for the EMS Mercury 1040 radios? Haven't got a pic but they're funny little buggers ;)

The mercury's I've got here have got something like an external torx head which is a bit odd for a cb radio I must admit.

Yeah, those are the ones. I could do with 6 more as I found 2 in a box of crap that came with a job lot. I've got one radio that's had them replaced with standard ones.

There's 7 screws in it but one is mangled so i'd say 6 good but rusty. The face is gold with a row of selcall switches fitted next to the meter, the working ones i've got are 1 gold and 1 black. PM me your address and i'll send you the screws.
