Re: What CB Radio stuff did you buy today
Not a CB but I really kicked myself this morning for not bidding on an FTL-7011. It wasn't the radio I wanted, it was the mounting bracket and mic that I was after for my FTL-8011 radios which I'm playing around with on SRD 860 MHz.
It went for a tenner.

I just won one of these on eBoo for the sake of nostalgia for a couple of quid.

I bought a dead FT-One for eighty quid, if it can't be given the kiss of life then it's parts will be worth more than the sum.

Nuffin, though I've today completed building my terminal box so I can have 8 items plugged in at once to my power supply (I'll only be using them one at a time, just saves keep effing around unplugging them).

You've got to love this one. There was a guy selling an Ascom SE-550 on eBay (It's possibly one of you out there). His pitch was that you would get a radio and also a transportable case absolutely free.
I have eaten more than one free meal but that doesn't mean I'm not skeptical.
I asked that seeing as the portable case was free, and not paid for as part of the final offer, that he would split the deal and send me the case on its own buckshee,
He said I was having a giraffe and he was absolutely right but I still don't think he understood the point.
